Notes on "Unclean Spirits"

In Mathew 10:1 Jesus gives his twelve disciples power over "unclean spirits". These unclean spirits are also known as fallen angels or demons.

The word "Unclean" is translated from the Greek word Akathartos which means "1. not cleansed, unclean a.in a ceremonial sense: that which must be abstained from according to the levitical law b.in a moral sense: unclean in thought and life." Akathartos - KJV Greek Lexicon
