Notes on Mammon
In Mathew 6:24 we
are told that "Ye cannot serve God and
mammon." Mammon is from the Aramaic Mammonas
meaning wealth or riches or the personification
of wealth.
Instead God promises that he will take care of
our needs if we, "seek ye first his kingdom,
and his righteousness". Mathew 6:32 - 33
